In 2006, Loretta Yang took out all colors in her new flower creations, leaving only a transparent clearness in each piece. In 2007, for the first time, Leo Kaplan in New York had an exhibition and it was a success and created a huge stir for “The Proof of Awareness”. The series of seven “The Proof of Awareness”, “Orchid Reverie”, “Chrysanthemum Dance”, “Lotus Consciousness”, "Higher Contemplation”, “Amorous”, and "Springtime Dance" with the blossom of the clear and enormous peony. To Loretta, “The Proof of Awareness”, the series which adopt the clear and transparent method to reflect her philosophy of life and put her creativity to the next stage. The philosophy of Zen and Buddhist taught us the hardship in life comes from uncertainty and unpredictability; we must therefore experience it. Thus make us realize the reality of pain and the courage to overcome it.

The concepts of ‘formless’ and ‘emptiness’, as well as the perception of hardship let out our merciful compassion. If properly understood, it will increase our love and tolerance for one another. The understanding of life comes from the Zen concept that were included in the artwork. Many people were touched by the artwork of artist Loretta Yang because every of her signature artworks led people in the contemplation of the meaning of life.
