作品設計概念：

龍出東方，東方顏色為青，屬性是木， 因木具向陽性，吸收天地正氣生長， 如同龍，其強盛、軒昂、向榮，更寓意“生生不息”。 在琉璃工房的作品中，龍是經典的創作之一，多年來，對於中國神龍的體態，琉璃工房有著長期的探索。作品中的青龍，鱗爪飛揚之間，體態飄逸，動作悠然。頭部昂起，身軀騰起雲端，每一處刻畫都體現琉璃工房多年功力。

As one of the five classic mythical creatures that guard each of the cardinal directions in Chinese astrology, the dragon is arguably the most commonly represented in popular culture.  This piece is the azure dragon (or qinglong) and comes from the 2018 collection “Directional Clarity.”  It represents the East and has also been named Meng Zhang in folklore.  Here the dragon is sculpted in a confident and graceful pose, carved into a celestial orb that is representative of the heavens and carrying etchings of ancient astrological maps.  When associated with the five principles system of Chinese geomancy, the dragon can represent the element of wood—or, similarly, the season of spring.  As one of the five divine guardians, the azure dragon possesses a lively and energetic spirit, embodying the qualities of strength, virtue, and benevolence.
