梅花一月（琉璃花,花,梅花）

作品設計概念：

當看到“花開十二”的顏色，是試一次不行，試二次也不行，而是試了好幾次才成功的；它畢竟不是顏料，它在溫控下的燒制，是有很大限制的。當雕塑做到幾乎完美的時候，琉璃工房依然會在作品的定色上“用心”。“花開十二”系列，每一朵花的顏色，都可以讓人想像出它們展開花蕾的姿態。

Sculpted freely out of liuli crystal here is an art plate from a collection of twelve—one for each month of the year; each blooming with a flower of its respective season.  Depicted here in vibrant reds and whites is the plum blossom, a flower known to bloom in the bleak midwinter of January.  It does so amid ice and snow, stubbornly, rising high above the landscape.  Because of this, the flower is regarded in Chinese literature as one of the “Four Gentlemen.”  Artists evoke that sense of harsh beauty in this glass piece here, sacrificing little care to sculpt all the minute details of the picturesque season—the season of the plum blossom in January.
