天舞昇平(琉璃擺設,慈悲)
系列: Buddha Sculptures & Figurines 作品設計概念: Descending in wafts of billowing silk and an ethereal illumination here is a female spirit of cloud and water from Hindu and Buddhist folklore, known as an “Aspara.” It is the Eastern equivalent to the forest spirits who Ancient Greeks dubbed “nymphs” or “celestial maidens.” In this artwork, the the deity is sculpted into cool blues and clear and frosted crystal and carries a “pipa” (musical instrument) nonchalantly as she alights a foot lightly into the folds of the colors below. In legend and appearing in many cultures across Eurasia, an Aspara was considered a muse—inspiring some of the greatest love stories, songs, and performing arts in mankind. |
