Notes and Tones in Harmony
The existence and non-existence of the hulu gourd,
the eternal cycle of heaven and earth,
with form, without sound, with promise, with end,
all-encompassing, all-restrictive, coexistence in a
mutual push and pull
is the inherent nature of all things.
Notes and tones only exist together -
is that not the most harmonious sound?
Thus the wisdom within the gourd is born.
