Seated in a comfortable posture, quietly gazing upon a small lotus, her leisurely posture is an expression of contentment and ease. The calm and centered countenance of Joyous Guanyin has an edifying effect on sentient beings, subtly reminding us that even when life is at its bumpiest, there is still much goodness and beauty to be found, even in a single flower, and that we can see it by relaxing and letting go. The lotus is an important symbol in Buddhism, for it is the only plant which has flowers and fruit at the same time, making it a symbol of the dual cultivation of wisdom and compassion. Moreover, its roots, flower, and fruit coexist, symbolizing the past, present, and future. 觀音右手搭在右膝上，愜意自在地坐著， 頭略微低下，嘴角和眼角露出微微的笑容，呈現出菩薩逍遙自在的一面。長長的耳垂，在傾聽世間的疾苦，眼睛雖然閉著，但對世間發生的一切了然在心。 一個放下的動作，一個轉念的瞬間，就能讓快樂變得很簡單。菩薩身旁有一朵綻放的蓮花，是證得無上菩提的象徵。底座的四周岩石紋路的設計象徵人生道路的苦，而智慧的蓮花卻在岩石上綻放，也就是說只有通過苦才能把人生看得透徹。面對苦難，只有放下才是唯一解決途徑。觀音的雕刻豐潤圓滿，神態慈祥和藹，衣著流暢飄逸，給人的內心帶來一種美好與安寧。 慈悲心：個人的基本看法與動機，一定會影響他如何去因應生活中的逆境、威脅或危險。慈悲的態度，帶來自信感，這是種內在的力量，而這就能減少恐懼。 |
