Design Description:

The sycee (Chinese gold or silver ingot) was used for currency as early as the Qing dynasty (3^rd century B.C.). Carrying with it millennia of tradition, the ingot has been made a permanent symbol of wealth and fortune. Recreated in this piece with vivid amber and gold, the ingot is paired with a dragon carved out on top, bringing in sharp touches of reds and pale blues.
