Design Concept:
This artwork is designed for pomegranates, which are regarded by the Chinese as auspicious symbols representing family prosperity and the blessing of many children. The surface of the Liuli retains carved textures while presenting varying shades of yellow-green flow patterns, symbolizing a moment of Qi Baishi's brush dancing with ink. The three modestly shaped pomegranates are stacked and twisted, initially appearing somewhat peculiar yet intriguing. However, upon closer inspection, their abundant talent is revealed, adding to their charm. The holder can elegantly store writing utensils or engage in spontaneous flower arranging. Placed on a desk or by a bright window, when sunlight filters through, the crystal-clear fruits of the pomegranate in the upper left corner radiate, imbuing the living space with an endless atmosphere of joy. |
